HOLIDAY SHOPPING, Christmas is coming:
While at Panorama Mall before Thanksgiving, this dad and his 2-year-old daughter were drawn to a "take a picture with Santa" booth.
"We didn't expect him here, since it's not Thanksgiving yet," Berger said Tuesday. "But Zoe was very excited to see all the decorations."

Among this report on new handgun laws, such as needing a Handgun Safety Certificate through the Dept of Justice and a test from a DOJ certified instructor, is a remark from a local sporting goods weapon salesman:
Linus Beals, a salesman in the firearms department at Turner's Outdoorsman in Reseda, got his DOJ certification recently and doesn't see a problem with the HSC.

"I'm all for it, and I'm pro gun," Beals said. "They should have people who want to purchase handguns learn gun safety."

KUDOS, academic update:
Jaime Gonzalez, "the Valley's No. 1 academic draft pick when he graduated in June from Reseda High with a 4.2 grade-point average" got a pair of 4-year scholarships to USC. A previous mention here; link on that post goes nowhere.

FATAL CRASH, Resedans die:
The driver of a pickup killed two on their way to Thanksgiving dinner. He was allegedly alcohol impaired and witnesses held him after he was attempting to flee the scene.
